Privacy Policy

PlanTheDay stores some of the most personal data there is — your guest list, your budget, your plans. This policy explains what we collect and how we treat it. The short version: your data is yours, we don’t sell it, and we collect only what the product needs.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, display name and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see it).
  • Event data you enter: guests and their contact details, vendors, budgets, payments, tasks, seating arrangements, and files you upload.
  • Technical data: standard server logs and error reports needed to keep the service running and secure.

2. How we use it

  • To provide the service — that’s it. No advertising, no selling data.
  • To email you about your account (sign-in links, receipts, important changes).
  • To diagnose errors and abuse.

3. Who processes it

Your data is hosted with trusted infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (application hosting), and Resend (transactional email). Each processes data only on our instructions. Payment processing, when it launches, will be handled by a licensed Egyptian payment provider — card details never touch our servers.

4. Guest data

You enter information about your guests (names, phone numbers, RSVP status). You are responsible for having their consent to do so; we use this data solely to provide the planning features to you and never contact your guests.

5. Isolation and security

Every event is isolated at the database level with row-level security — members of one wedding cannot access another’s data. Access to production systems is limited and audited.

6. Retention and deletion

  • Paid events remain as a read-only archive after the wedding so you keep your records.
  • You can request deletion of your account and all its data at any time — email us and we will complete it within 30 days.
